[Zoom Prayer Meeting Japan: 00037] A Day Interconnected by Divinity" — Detailed Program for the Evening of Saturday, April 26, 2025

To all participants,

At the Video Prayer Gathering held two weeks ago on Saturday, Maki-sensei guided us through a powerful spiritual exercise to help us objectively become aware of ourselves as “forms that are disappearing.” She led us to recall specific aspects of ourselves that we have not yet released, and by attaching the words “Soku-Kami-Nari” to each of those self-images and performing the IN of Ware-soku-Kami-nari, she offered a practice to dissolve our habitual self-identity into our True Self—our Honshin and divine essence—and to sublimate it.

Following that, with the heartfelt wish that we would remember the truth that “human beings are not merely bodies, but divine spirits,” and take that as an opportunity to reflect upon ourselves and begin living with divine awareness, she read a passage from Goi-sensei’s book Eternal Life, specifically the chapter titled "Know Thyself."

After the reading, Maki-sensei shared the following:
“I felt that the thoughts that arise when we ask ourselves, ‘Who am I?’ could connect with what Goi-sensei said: ‘It’s not enough to merely know it intellectually. Religion is about actually realizing it and putting it into practice.’ That is why I presented this question to all of you today.”

She also added:
“I hope each of you will re-read this chapter ‘Know Thyself’ from the book Eternal Life, which I read aloud today, and take time to ask yourself, ‘Who am I?’ I hope that your own answers to that question will connect with the truth expressed by Goi-sensei, and that you’ll enjoy a meaningful and beautiful moment of reflection.”

About a week later, I asked a few people:
“After the Video Prayer Gathering, did you read the chapter ‘Know Thyself’ from Goi-sensei’s Eternal Life, and did it help deepen your awareness of your Divine Self? Were you able to gain any ideas that could help you put that awareness into practice through your words, thoughts, or actions?”

Some people had indeed re-read the chapter, but none had approached it in a way that led to practical application. That is why I decided to highlight the chapter “Know Thyself” during A Day Interconnected by Divinity, hoping that it might help lead to real, daily-life spiritual practice.

If you’ve already read this chapter and are actively engaging in practices to deepen your divine awareness, feel free to disregard the attached file.

However, if you haven’t yet read the chapter, or don’t have a copy of the book, or feel that the print is too small to read comfortably, I’ve attached the full chapter “Know Thyself” as a PDF file to this email.
Please try to read it sometime before Saturday evening, and find a passage that resonates with your own experience. Let that become a guide you can incorporate into your daily efforts toward living with divine awareness.

(The text size in the PDF file has been increased compared to previous versions. If you're reading on a smartphone, try opening the PDF and turning your device sideways—this will make the text even larger and easier to read. The base font size has been changed from 12pt to 16pt.)

This program is designed so that 70% of the experience takes place before Saturday night—by reading the lecture “Know Thyself” multiple times, drawing ideas for your own daily spiritual practice, and beginning to put them into action. The remaining 30% will be the gathering on Saturday night itself.

Also, this Saturday evening’s A Day Interconnected by Divinity will be a study session dedicated to reviewing the Video Prayer Gathering, in connection with the lecture “Know Thyself.”

[Opening Remarks]

Hello, everyone. We now begin tonight’s program for "A Day Interconnected by Divinity."

Tonight, following the teachings from the first chapter of Goi-sensei’s book Eternal Life, titled "Know Thyself", we will carry out a program designed to cultivate an awareness that embraces both our Divine Self—our true Self as the radiant light of life that flows from the distant past to the infinite future—and the reality of how we hold our consciousness in daily life. Through this, we aim to establish a broad, non-attached perspective that gently holds and observes all aspects of ourselves.

Questions like:
“Who am I really?”
“Why was I born into this world?”
“Where does life come from, and where does it return to?”
“Why am I here now?”
“How should I live going forward?”

These have been with me since I was a child, long before I had any religious inclination.

I first began asking these deep, almost philosophical questions in elementary school, after having a vivid dream when I was seven years old. In that dream, the star where I had lived exploded into stardust, and my consciousness was cast out into the void of space, utterly lost. It was a haunting experience of total emptiness.

That dream, which I now understand as a memory from a past life even before my time on Earth or Venus, stayed with me. The remnants of that star, I later learned, still exist today as the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

At age 13, I began searching inward and also turned to books to find answers. I would visit bookstores regularly. At first, I immersed myself in books on psychology. Finding no answers there, I moved on to the realm of what is now called the "spiritual world."

Eventually, I began reading books about flying saucers and extraterrestrials—like those by George Adamski. But even then, something about those books felt suspicious or incomplete, and they didn’t satisfy the yearning in my heart.

Then in early summer of 1980 (Showa 55), when I was 15 years old, I found a book in a bookstore in a neighboring town titled Flying Saucers and Super Science by Masao Murata. It recorded detailed conversations between Murata and beings from Venus.

The words of the female commander of a spaceship, in particular, struck me deeply and profoundly.

Many extraterrestrials, including the commander’s wife, a person named Mr. M, and a base commander on the Moon, shared various insights with Murata.

What touched me most was the commander’s wife saying something like:

“The ‘Prayer for World Peace’ is the only means permitted by the Great God to save the Earth. Only within the vibration of that prayer can we, as cosmic beings, work together with you for the peace of the planet. Please remember well that Earth’s radiant future will unfold from within the Prayer for World Peace.”

At the time, I had a pessimistic sense about the future of the Earth. Having carried a vague, intuitive sense since that childhood dream that "this planet must not be destroyed," her words felt like a message of salvation.

From the next day onward, I began praying silently while walking to and from school:

“May peace prevail on Earth.”

“May peace be in our homes and countries.”

Back then, I knew nothing of Byakko nor of Goi-sensei’s existence on Earth. I simply thought, “If the commander’s wife said the Prayer for World Peace is good, then I’ll do it.”

And so, my journey of prayer began.

The answer I have come to, in response to the question I first mentioned—“Who am I?”—has gradually transformed over the course of many decades.
After going through those experiences, I evolved from being a passive presence who simply wished for Earth to become a peaceful planet, into someone who actively contributes to peace on Earth, and ultimately into one who was born for the purpose of bringing peace to this planet.

Each of you also has your own answer to the question, “Who am I?”
Today, I would like us to gently hold and honor those individual answers, to break through the shell of the ego, and together, to allow the consciousness of Ware soku Kami nari (I am the Divine), Ware soku Chikyū nari (I am the Earth), and Ware soku Uchū nari (I am the Universe)—the ultimate, root-level answers—to settle into our surface awareness.

The key to unfolding the moment in which all of Earth Humanity awakens to this same Divine Awareness lies in the evolution of each of our individual consciousnesses.
And the word “evolution” here can be read as
進化 ("advancing transformation"), but also as 深化 ("deep transformation"), and even as 神化 ("divine transformation").

As those of us who are already praying for world peace 24 hours a day—before the rest of Earth Humanity—it is we who must first fully revive our own Divine Nature within our conscious awareness.
No matter what we see, hear, or experience, may we always stand from the perspective of Divinity, and view both this world and the next with unwavering spiritual clarity.

Let us now strive to elevate the truth we have learned as knowledge into a living truth—one that overflows from both body and heart.
Thank you very much for joining in this intention.

Now that the time has come, let us begin with the Prayer for World Peace in both Japanese and English.

2. On the Practice of Divine Self-Awareness in Daily Life

(For details, please refer to the attached PDF file.)

In this part, we will reflect on the consciousness we usually identify as “myself,” and through the realization that this is not our true self, we will engage in a practice to elevate our awareness toward the True Self—the Light of Life—the Divine Self.

In doing so, we will build on the guidance offered by Maki-sensei on Saturday, April 12, and the teachings of Goi-sensei, to deepen our awareness of the sacred self, and introduce a practice to root divine consciousness into our daily lives through the power of prayer, the IN, and sacred words.
