Global Silent Minute

at the Exact Atomic Moment

Japan 6 August 8:15 am

USA 5 August 4:15pm PDT / 7:15pm EDT

 

With the ringing of the Peace Bell

at the exact atomic moment the bomb fell,

the citizens of Hiroshima and Japan stop

for one minute of silence and reflection at

8:15am on August 6th.

 

Join us in the

GLOBAL SILENT MINUTE

to add your intentions, visions, affirmations

and prayers for a nuclear free world

and the awakening of the global heart

to peace, harmony and the oneness of humanity.

 

 

HIGHLIGHT CEREMONY

The World Peace Prayer Flag Ceremony

Add your prayers for peace to prevail in all nations

from the heart of Hiroshima out to the world.

Atomic Bomb Dome

 

The Atomic Bomb Dome is located

in Hiroshima Peace Park. It was the only structure left standing in the area after the bomb. It is now a

Unesco World Heritage Site.

 

The memorial plaque reads:

As a historical witness that conveys the tragedy of suffering the first atomic bomb in human history and as a symbol that vows to faithfully seek the abolition of nuclear weapons and everlasting world peace.
