1) Israeli-Palestinian conflict
Israel conducted a large-scale cleanup operation on the West Bank of Jordan river until July 5 killing 13, injuring 100 Palestinians and reducing the district into debris. It was the largest attack in the past 20 years from sky and on the ground for the purpose of exterminating insurgents. The Palestinian insurgents are pledging retaliation.
1) China’s nuclear power plants
China and South Korea are strongly denouncing Japan for the planned drain of radioactively contaminated water from Fukushima nuclear power plant into the Pacific Ocean. However, China has also been draining far more densely contaminated tritium water into the East China Sea (6.5 times denser than Fukushima’s treated water) without any explanation to the neighboring countries.
2) Cluster bomb
The U.S. decided to supply Ukraine with cluster bombs that are prohibited in many countries despite the criticisms from U.K., Canada, Spain and other countries. Although Japan also approved the cluster bomb ban treaty, it has not issued any message.
