It has been found out through investigations by a Japanese communications company that China had been wiretapping optical fiber marine cables near Okinawa. This is gathering attention of the U.S. forces in Okinawa too as a part of China’s increasing spying activities around the world.
2) Cambodia’s election
Cambodia’s general election scheduled on July 23 is manipulated by Prime Minister Hun Sen who intends to maintain his dictatorship; he eliminated the most powerful opposition party from the election. On June 23, about 300 Cambodians living in Japan put on a demonstration in Tokyo requesting the Japanese government to help Cambodia for its democratization.
3) Russia and Ukraine
President Lukashenko of Belarus has accepted Prigozhin who led Wagner’s insurrection as an exile and offered a base to Wagner.
