It was reported on June 13 that the U.S. was ready to supply Ukraine with depleted uranium ammunition to be loaded on the main battle tank MI Abrams. President Putin reacted to this and said, “We too have the right to use it if they use it.” President Lukashenko of Belarus also reacted to U.K’s supply of depleted uranium ammunition to Ukraine and requested deployment of Russia’s strategic nuclear weapons. It is apprehended that these weapons may cause serious radioactive contamination.
