- Japan’s military expansion
Prime Minister Kishida announced on February 27 that Japan would purchase 400 Tomahawk missiles from the U.S. as the means to attack enemy bases. Because of its slow speed (speed of a passenger), Tomahawk is used for saturation attack or bulk launch. The government is going to store these missiles in ammunition chambers in Oita city and Mutsu cities, but they are located near a university and a nuclear power plant. Launch of the missiles will surely invite attacks on these facilities by the other.
- Greece
On February 28, there was a frontal impact accident of passenger trains in Greece, killing at least 57. In Athens, there was a demonstration in protest of this accident.
- Russia & Ukraine
Battles are intensified in Bakhmut, Donbas, killing many soldiers on both sides. Russia says they have besieged Bakhmut, but Ukraine insists that they will keep fighting back.
