[En-ZoomLetter:00137] Mr. Takahashi's last poems

Dear Zoom Prayer Meeting members,

I am sharing with you Mr. Hideo Takahashi's last poems that were kindly edited once again by Pamela Beasley. Mr. Takahashi passed away on December 2 at the age 90. Although we cannot read his new works any more, he will surely continue working with us and sending us love and light from the divine world.

Infinite gratitude to Mr. Takahashi

Being diverse

Human lives are diverse.

Human beings are diverse.

Our births are diverse.

Our departures are diverse.

We should not easily criticize others for

Their diverse ways of living

Their diverse ways of birth

And their diverse ways of thinking.

May peace prevail on Earth

Thank you Goi Sensei

The root of lives penetrated by this prayer and chant

Transcend the physical world and extend to the divine world.

They are not human lives but divine lives.

The diverse phenomena in their lives are all

Vanishing phenomena of their thoughts in previous lifetimes

That have nothing to do with them

Because they are already linked straight into one

With the Prayer for World Peace

And are integrated into the light of Goi Sensei.

Tirelessly with all earnest

The Prayer for World Peace people pray

Tirelessly with all their earnest

Resembles a huge ship or an airplane.

That can freely land and take off regardless of any rough seas

Without any necessity for a long runway.

It rescues countless numbers of people one after another

Accommodates all of them and yet

Has enough space for countless additional people

I am enchanted by the grandeur of this ship

That keeps flying straight toward the west.

A short way to go

My physical body is doing its best to accomplish its mission

Enduring the difficulty in breathing

Fatigue

And sickness.

My dear physical body indeed deserves praise.

It has climbed up to point 8.5 of Mt. Fuji.

I will return to heaven

From the top of Mt. Fuji.

I have only a short way to go.

Not being benevolent*

It is not heaven and earth that are not benevolent.

It is not saints that are not benevolent.

It is I, the main character of my life

That is not benevolent.

Now that I am given a new mission

I stand up with a burning will to pursue my new mission.

I do not give the slightest glimpse at my old self

Turn it into a vanishing phenomenon

And cast it into the past.

This is the state of benevolence itself.

I will become an embodiment of the divine heart itself

And live in a new heaven and earth.

This is how my refreshed self is with refreshed life.

Note:

Heaven and earth are not benevolent: A message of Lao Tsu meaning: Heaven and earth discard all the things the instant they have become unnecessary. This is because heaven and earth and saints have the mission of moving just in accordance with the universal law, without being affected by human emotions and desires. For details, please refer to chapter 4 of The Spirit of Lao Tsu by Masahisa Goi.

My new self

My self who is in the nursing home

Is but a shadow of thoughts from my previous lifetimes.

My self who lives in the Prayer for World Peace and

The calling of Goi Sensei

Is living as a new life body.

My old self can do away with all the bindings

And live freely just in accordance with my desire.

My new self is being born

And is waiting for me.

New heaven and earth are waiting.

The dawn is just around the corner.

I will go to the world of Goi Sensei

I will plunge into Goi Sensei.

Goi Sensei is waiting for me.

Everyone is waiting for me.

Fujiko is waiting for me.

Inside of Goi Sensei

I sleep inside of Goi Sensei

I wake up inside of Goi Sensei

I eat meals inside of Goi Sensei

I write poems inside of Goi Sensei

I live inside of Goi Sensei

And I die inside of Goi Sensei

I do not exist separately from Goi Sensei

I live together with Goi Sensei.
