In Tigre province in the north of Ethiopia, civil war between the government forces and TPLF (Tigre People’s Liberation Front) is getting out of control. As of last year, about 2 million were without food, medicine, and shelter. On October 14, 3 civilians were killed being involved in a battle.
2) Türkiye
On October 14, there was an explosion in a coal mine in the north of Türkiye killing at least 41 people. Eight years ago, there was an explosion that caused 301 deaths in a different coal mine in the west of the country.
