First half: We began by reading Goi-sensei’s essay ‘For the Evolution of Humanity.’ Earthquakes and typhoons are phenomena by which the will of the gods purifies the bad habits of humanity’s unevolved past, so we should bring our own hearts into accord with the law of evolution before such upheavals occur.
Next comes a dialogue with an AI (Claude) on the question ‘What is a living being?’ It arrives at the definition ‘a living being is a manifestation of life that, having become one with matter, keeps maintaining a form for a certain period of time through metabolism,’ and at the view that seeking the answers deep within life is itself divinity. The phenomenal world is a ‘World Expo of Life’ where all levels of consciousness gather, and being born here is an opportunity, not a punishment.
The first half closes with why we must graduate from being human, not lose to the whisper of the ego, and live within the resonance of our Guardian Spirits and Guardian Deities. Continuing the Prayer for World Peace around the clock settles our consciousness into the Lower Dantian, quiets the brain waves, and makes the parasympathetic nervous system dominant.
Second half: How to settle our consciousness into the Dantian through breathing with kotodama, with a personal story about chest breathing and dieting, and why we should not treat even our body fat as an enemy. Then, gratitude toward the rain, the wind, and the earth, and the way of seeing every event as one on the way to the Divine Spark.
In the Q&A, Saito shares how gratitude gradually leads to oneness with one’s Guardian Spirits, using the analogy of walking toward the sea. He also explains Goi-sensei’s teaching that Rojintsu, the highest of the six supernatural powers, is the state of living with God’s heart as one’s own, and that steadily continuing the Prayer for World Peace in the fading-away form is the shortest path to it.
