For A Day Interconnected by Divinity
[To Become Connected in the World of God]
◆ Solitude – The Essential Learning for Entering the World of God
When we reflect upon the “destination of life” across the present, past, and future, the time comes when we remember the fact that, in the process of returning to the great origin of life, human beings were originally solitary existences.
It is clear from the essential way of life of the soul—“born alone, live alone, die alone”—that human beings in their physical form are solitary beings from the beginning. No one is born together with someone else, and in the final moment of death as well, everyone departs alone.
Furthermore, as long as we live believing that “the physical body is who I am,” we can never truly understand another person from the depths of our being. There will always be some discrepancy in human consciousness, and even if we live together with someone all the time, we never reach the point of sharing one and the same physical body.
Separate from that solitude viewed from the standpoint of the physical body, in the process of returning the consciousness of the self to the very root of life, we come to touch the actual consciousness of the Universal God. This is the realm of the great life at the very source of existence.
There, only the consciousness of the Universal God exists, and everything is within the Universal God. In other words, there is the consciousness of “all is myself,” accompanied by the Creator’s responsibility that “everything is a projection of my own being.”
What we must now accomplish is to illuminate all humanity within our hearts with the Universal Ultimate Light, embrace with divine love the whispering ego that rejects the Divine Spark, allow it to be liberated, and at the same time, delve ever more deeply into “our own solitude,” which belongs to no one else. By doing so, we arrive at the realization of the truth: “This solitary state of mine was reflecting the existential principle of the Universal God.”
In June 2002, Masami-sensei suggested the following in the Infinite Words poem Solitude Is Life’s Greatest Gift.
◎ Because human beings possess the aspect of solitude, they are able to reveal their inner selves and look at themselves with honesty.
◎ Even if one is surrounded by many friends, close acquaintances, and beloved family—acting cheerfully and happily—human beings are, at their root, solitary beings.
◎ The origin of human beings is this: “Every single person is solitary.”
◎ Those who cannot feel solitude are merely avoiding it, fearing it, or distracting themselves from it.
◎ Those who are in solitude—stand tall and live with dignity.
◎ To be placed in solitude now is for the purpose of looking directly at one’s own truth.
◎ It is also for the purpose of facing one’s own Divinity.
◎ Do not fear that fact, do not be distressed by it, do not hide it, and do not blame anything.
◎ It is a solitude for encountering truth, experiencing truth, merging with the Light of Truth, and living together with truth.
◎ If you are now in solitude, then receive it with dignity and joy, saying, “A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has come.”
◎ What comes after that is a state of consciousness filled only with Light, only with Divinity, only with radiance.
◎ Solitude is the greatest gift in life, for it is what leads one to encounter the God within.
◎ O you who suffer in solitude, who gasp in solitude, who struggle in solitude—transform your thoughts and transform your life.
◎ Only through solitude can human beings encounter Light, meet Truth, and behold God.
◎ The eternal life that humanity longs for lies precisely beyond solitude.
◎ A Shinjin should seek out those who tremble in solitude, speak to them with solemn and sacred words, and bring forth Shinjin around oneself.
◎ Solitude is one of the paths that a Shinjin must walk.
◎ If you are now in solitude, eternal truth is right before you—reach out your hand and seize it yourself.
◎ In this sense, solitude is a process that leads one to the joy of attaining “Ware Soku Kami Nari.”
◆ Kū-Soku-ZE-Shiki – To Enter Completely into the World That Lies Beyond Letting Everything Go as a Disappearing Phenomenon
And solitude is also an essential process for reaching the sacred time-space expressed in Goi-sensei’s song: “I live embracing all within myself; therefore, throughout Heaven and Earth, the Prayer for World Peace resounds.”
When we see that “everything is a disappearing phenomenon,” release all thoughts, surrender them to the Guardian Deities and Spirits, see everything as nothing, and continue cutting through all attachments, beyond that lies the world of God, filled with the fundamental vibration of the Prayer for World Peace. In March 1962, Goi-sensei spoke about this as follows.
“When someone says, ‘I have this way of thinking,’ ‘I have this kind of personality,’ or ‘I have this habit,’ such personal assertions do not matter at all. They are of no use whatsoever.
As long as humanity on Earth continues to live without letting go of such thoughts, the world will continue on exactly as it is now—and eventually it will end in war.
Because that must not happen, the Deities and the Cosmic Beings come to support us and take the first step in opening the sacred world here.
To do that, we must reach the state of living with the heart of the Universal God as our own heart. We must firmly resolve and realize: ‘The self I thought was myself does not truly exist,’ ‘If I do not let go of that notion, my true self—the self of God’s heart, my real essence (True Self / True Being)—will never come to the surface,’ and ‘Therefore, I live by expressing the consciousness of God.’ What is essential is to embrace this conviction and live with the recognition of the Divine as one’s own.”
Many of us have now come to the very doorway of the Divine World, and we are at the stage where, with just one more step, we may enter completely into the “sacred realm of consciousness” that lies beyond solitude. What we must courageously undertake at this stage is to firmly resolve to cast off all thoughts belonging to the physical human self and to live with the purely Divine Mind, free of every attachment.
On the night of Saturday, December 6, we will once again affirm the solitary position in which we find ourselves, and we will connect with one another in the world of the heart, the world of the soul, and the world of Divinity.
Then, by placing the standpoint of our consciousness in the Divine World filled with the vibrations of the Prayer for World Peace, we will, together with the Deities and all the Cosmic Angels, send the Light of the Universal God to the Earth.
Program for the Day
[Opening Remarks]
GYOUTEN: Hello everyone. We will now begin the program for Saturday’s “Day Interconnected by Divinity.” As written in the guidance email, today we will spend this time connecting with one another in the Divine World that lies beyond solitude, seeing everything as a disappearing phenomenon, and resonating together in the world filled with the Prayer for World Peace.
As you know, we human beings exist as “children of the Light of the Universal God,” receiving the Light of the Universal God’s life through the Direct Spirit.
And within our consciousness—which is formed as a reflection of the existential principles of the Universal God—there simultaneously exist, just as in the Universal God Himself, both the one who sees and the one who is seen in the realm of the heart. For this reason, we have now come to the point where we are becoming able to move freely between both aspects of consciousness and make full use of them.
These two aspects may also be described as the inner Divinity and the surface consciousness, as higher-dimensional consciousness and the consciousness of the Three Worlds, or viewed as the side of the Guardian Spirits, Guardian Deities, Divine Body, and Direct Spirit versus the side of the physical body, astral body, and spiritual body.
As we continue to accelerate the process of divinizing our own consciousness, we inevitably pass through a stage in which the higher consciousness and the surface consciousness coexist within our hearts.
And the realization we gain at that stage is this: “Because my destiny was created by my own thoughts, everything is my own responsibility. There was absolutely no responsibility in others, in the environment, in the nation, or in the world—nothing outside myself bore any responsibility whatsoever.”
A little further ahead, there was also the stage in which we directly experienced and firmly confirmed from the depths of our being: “Nothing whatsoever can violate me, who is united as one with the Universal God.”
Although we have recited the opening words of the Prayer Words countless times, it is true that in the past there were stubborn reactions of rejection, self-limitation, and self-denial that made it difficult to truly accept them.
However, since entering the 2020s, we have finally arrived at the time of the awakening of the soul and have entered the stage of releasing all attachments.
In other words, we have reached the stage of resolutely letting go of all preconceptions, fixations, assumptions, obsessions, and self-righteousness, releasing them completely and wholeheartedly.
When we arrived there, the realization that finally appeared clearly before us—revealed as “the fundamental theme for each one of us”—was the truth that “Because I exist, everything exists,” the revelation of “I am the universe,” and the truth at the deepest root of life: “In this universe, there is only myself.”
Such teachings of truth had already been revealed in the early stage of CWLP in 1962, but at that time it was too early for everyone to fully live those truths as their own consciousness, and 63 years ago they felt like distant concepts.
However, today—after spending a quarter of a century of the 21st century— we have reached the stage of living this ultimate truth as our own consciousness: “Everything that appears good or bad, every person, every circumstance, every event—because all of it is my own form, everything that unfolds before me is my own matter, in the sense that it is the image of my thoughts reflected in the outer world,” “everything is my responsibility,” and “in the universe, there is only myself.”
We of today have been granted the years needed for the truth of “everything is my responsibility”—a truth that only a handful of people could reach sixty years ago—to ferment deeply within the core of our souls, to the point that we can now radiate it as the very Light of our own life. And now, more and more people are able to express this ultimate truth as their own lived experience.
We have been able to reach this point thanks to the direct guidance of the Universal God, the path opened by senior Divine friends, the support of the Deities of the Great Light of Salvation and the Cosmic Angels, and also the guidance and prayers of the Guardian Deities and Guardian Spirits and of the people around us.
Above all, it is also the fruit of our own efforts—of consistently viewing solitude in a positive light, earnestly practicing the Prayer for World Peace through seeing all things as a disappearing phenomenon, continually forming the various INs bestowed by the Universal God, continually drawing the mandala, continually offering gratitude to the Earth, and continually recognizing only the Divinity of humanity.
Today, we will once again reaffirm “what consciousness Goi-sensei wishes us to have when we pray the Prayer for World Peace.” With that understanding, we will align our hearts as one with the Universal God, take on the consciousness of the Universal God, and spend this time powerfully and widely resonating the Light of the Prayer for World Peace into the hearts of humanity.
Now that the time has come, let us offer the Prayer for World Peace in Japanese and English.
1. Prayer for World Peace
TOGUCHI: Let us begin. Hai.
Sekai Jin-rui ga Heiwa de ari-masu you-ni.
Nippon ga Heiwa de ari masu you-ni.
Watakushi-tachi no Ten-mei ga mattou sare masu you-ni.
Shugo-Rei-sama, arigatou gozai-masu. Shugo-Jin-sama, arigatou gozai-masu.
May peace prevail on Earth.
May peace be in our homes and countries.
May our missions be accomplished.
We thank you, Guardian Deities and Guardian Spirits.
Thank you very much.
2. Time to reaffirm the awareness of “Because I exist, all things exist”
GYOUTEN: Thank you very much. Next, through the words of Goi-sensei, we will take time to reflect on the ultimate truth that “the ultimate state of human consciousness is the Universal God itself, and nothing other than that,” and allow this truth to permeate our own consciousness. To begin, I will read pages 93 to 95 from the book When the Soul Opens Greatly, under the section titled Only I Exist. Please relax and listen.
The other world both exists and does not exist; it does not exist and yet exists. This world also both exists and does not exist; it does not exist and yet exists. These are not truly real. The only thing that truly exists is the Universal God. There is only one Light—the Light of the Universal God. Absolutely nothing else exists. What appears here as separate beings is merely the division of that absolute Light; the only reality is the Universal God.
To put it another way, you are here as one who has separated from the Universal God. If that is so, then there is no one else besides you. Although everyone seems to be here like this, in truth, it is only that you are seeing them; without you, none of them exist. Even your own eyes—if you cover them with your hands, you cannot see anything. Just as when you sleep and are unaware of everything, without you, nothing exists. Because you exist, everything exists. Therefore, in this world, you alone exist.
Only you exist. There is but one “you” within the Universal God. Do you understand? Engrave this deeply in your heart. Good things and bad things alike are no one’s responsibility but your own. Therefore, you have no choice but to become greater.
If you make your heart correct and unite it with the vibration of God, then everything that appears before you will be the manifestation of God’s will, appearing as the Light of God.
So no matter what kind of “bad person” appears before you, that person is your own expression. Your own vibration is appearing there. Rather than complaining about what appears, you should complain to yourself—but even that is useless. Instead, see it as a disappearing phenomenon and place it into the Prayer for World Peace.
People say, “I did this for that person,” “I helped that person in such a way,” but there is no such thing. There is no ‘that person,’ no ‘this person.’ You are doing everything for yourself. Whatever you do returns entirely to you. If you hate others, you are the one who loses.
There is no one else. Only you exist. That is why I say, “Do not speak conceitedly about ‘I did this for them,’ ‘I prayed for them.’” There is no such thing as doing for another or praying for another. You are doing it for yourself. What matters is that you become prayer itself.
Some people compare themselves with others, but there is no need. There is nothing but making yourself truly noble. When that is understood, this world and the other world no longer exist; the only one who exists is God. What exists is only the Light of the Universal God.
That is all for this section. At the beginning of this teaching, Goi-sensei says, “The only thing that truly exists in this universe is the one Light of the Universal God. There is absolutely nothing else. What appears here as separate beings is merely the division of that absolute Light; the only true reality is the consciousness of the Universal God.”
Next, he continues with the teaching expressed as “Because I exist, everything exists,” explaining that “If I were not here, nothing would exist,” and that “No matter who appears before us, the thoughts and feelings we experience toward ourselves or others are nothing more than our own inner state being reflected outward.”
This is an extremely severe truth, and if we stand on the side of the habitual thought that believes, “This physical body is who I am,” our ego will stir and want to reject it.
In such moments, if we firmly resolve ourselves and refuse to be swept away by the emotional thoughts that arise and disappear as expressions of the ego—if we can pray fully, saying, “Ah, this is a disappearing phenomenon. My Guardian Spirits are bringing this forth to dissolve it for me—how grateful I am. May Peace Prevail on Earth. We thank you, Guardian Deities and Guardian Spirits.”—then the more we pray in this way, the more these attachments are erased, and the closer we come to our True Self.
Next, I will read pages 57 to 58 from When the Soul Opens Greatly, which I also referenced in the email.
That is all for this section. In order for us to live in this world as God, it is necessary for us to unite all seven aspects of the heart—the physical body, astral body, spiritual body, Guardian Spirits, Guardian Deities, Divine Body, and Direct Spirit—within the vibration of the Universal God, which is the great ocean of life, and to live with the heart of the Universal God as our own heart, integrating both the one who sees and the one who is seen into one consciousness.
In the next program, we will listen to a very helpful teaching that will support us in praying the Prayer for World Peace with the consciousness of the Universal God, holding the awareness that “everything is myself,” and afterward we will practice praying with the heart of the Universal God. Toguchi-san, thank you very much.
3. Time to practice praying for World Peace from the standpoint of the Universal God
TOGUCHI: Thank you very much. Next, we will take time to return to the heart of the Universal God and practice praying the Prayer for World Peace from the standpoint of the Universal God—the standpoint of the One who exists and creates all things, the One who bears the responsibility of creation.
To begin, I will introduce a conversation that once appeared in an old issue of Byakko Magazine, a conversation that took place one day between Hideo SAITO and Goi-sensei. The story I am about to share is from long ago, when Hideo SAITO visited Iku-shū-an and exchanged the following words with Goi-sensei.
Goi-sensei: “SAITO-san, please look carefully at this newspaper photograph. You see here a picture of an orphanage for the war orphans of Vietnam, don’t you? Many pitiful children are shown—so thin they look like skeletons, with only their stomachs swollen. SAITO-san, all of this tragic suffering in Vietnam is your responsibility, isn’t it?”
SAITO-san: “Sensei, I have never sold weapons to Vietnam at all.”
Goi-sensei: “SAITO-san, look here at this article on page three. It reports that in the inheritance dispute of the wealthy Nakagawa family in Takarazuka, the younger brother killed the older brother and then turned himself in. This is also your responsibility, isn’t it?”
SAITO-san: “Sensei, I have no relationship whatsoever with the Nakagawa family.”
Goi-sensei: “SAITO-san, you are aware that the Prayer for World Peace originates from the heart of the Universal God, who created the entire world, correct?”
SAITO-san: “Yes, Sensei, that is what you have taught me.”
Goi-sensei: “And you also understand that when you pray the Prayer for World Peace, it is not your physical self that is praying, but rather your Guardian Deities and Guardian Spirits, correct?”
SAITO-san: “Yes, that is how I understand it.”
Goi-sensei: “The Guardian Deities and Guardian Spirits of my disciples all belong to the great spiritual group known as the Guardian Divine Spirits Group of the Great Light of Salvation, which exists in the spiritual world and was formed with the purpose of saving the Earth. From that connection, your Guardian Deities and Guardian Spirits have brought you to me—the center of the Guardian Divine Spirits Group of the Great Light of Salvation—and this is how you have become my disciples.
This Guardian Divine Spirits Group of the Great Light of Salvation was formed to manifest the heart of the Universal God, who resides in the Divine World, upon the Earth. Therefore, praying the Prayer for World Peace originally means returning to the very center of the Universal God's heart, to the great life itself, and praying from there. It means taking on the consciousness of the One responsible for creating the entire universe and reexamining the whole cosmos from that standpoint.
The essence of the Prayer for World Peace is that the one who prays returns to the heart of the Universal God and prays with the heart of the Universal God. Therefore, I want all of you to restore within yourselves the heart of the Universal God, return to Earth with that heart, and then reexamine the Earth. For example, if you are Japanese, return to Japan and look again at your towns, your communities, your own household—from the standpoint of the one responsible for the Earth.
The path to world peace lies in humanity awakening to the awareness that every event that occurs on Earth, and every happening throughout the universe, is my responsibility.”
SAITO-san: “Sensei, thank you very much. For the first time, I have come to understand the vast scale of the Prayer for World Peace that you teach.”
This account appeared in the January 1982 issue of Byakko Magazine. I have shared it today because I believe that now is the time for us to embody and pray with the “ultimate consciousness for praying the Prayer for World Peace” that Goi-sensei wished us to attain.
Next, we will engrave the meaning of this teaching into our hearts—not as the experience of Hideo SAITO, but as our own—and we will practice praying the Prayer for World Peace with the heart of the Universal God, allowing the heart of the Universal God to become our own.
To make this easier to understand, we will begin by praying “May Peace Prevail on Earth” seven times from the standpoint of the physical body. Then, from the standpoint of the spiritual world and the Divine World, we will pray “Peace Prevails on Earth” seven times. Next, from the standpoint of the Universal God, we will pray “Humanity, be at peace” seven times.
After that, we will repeat the prayer “May Peace Prevail on Earth” forty-nine times, but at that point, please pray with the heart of the Universal God.
Hold the awareness: “Because the essence of all humanity is divine, all human beings will surely remember their original peaceful heart and will be able to build a world of great harmony on this planet!” And let us resonate the powerful vibration of the Universal God’s heart—the great conviction that proclaims, “Humanity is at peace” and “Humanity is divine”—as we pray “May Peace Prevail on Earth.”

4. Divine Spark IN
TOGUCHI: Thank you very much. Lastly, we will perform Divine Spark IN once, send the divine light to all of Nature, all living beings, and all humanity, and conclude today’s Prayer Gathering.
Let's get started. Hai.
We send the Universal God's Light to Great Nature, to all living beings, and to humanity.
