Thanks to the continued prayers and support from all of you who have resonated with SOPP’s theme of “Praying together for world peace beyond religions and traditions,” SOPP celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. This year, a new theme has been added: “Musubi – the Sacred Connection.” “Musubi” represents the vertical connection with the Divine and the horizontal connection with all life on Earth. At SOPP, we wish to cherish and deepen this spirit of Musubi.
Peace Prayers from Various Religions and Traditions
The main program of SOPP features peace prayers from various religions and traditions. This year, prayers will be offered from Sufism (Islam), Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism, Shinto, Buddhism, and Byakko Shinko Kai. Let us offer each prayer together with deep gratitude and respect to the religious leaders who will guide them.
