1) Conflicts are aggravating in the Middle East.
- In Israel, over 160,000 citizens joined in demonstrations in protest against a judicial system’s revision by Netanyahu. They cried, “Abide by democracy.”
- On April 2, Israel conducted an air attack on Syria killing 2 citizens. It was the 4th attack in a week.
- On April 5, there was a crash between Palestinians who were attending the Ramadan service at a mosque and Israeli soldiers who tried to remove them. In it, dozens of Palestinians were injured and more than 400 were arrested.
- An Iranian newspaper announced that the President of Iran would visit Saudi Arabia for improvement of their relationship. In March, envoys of these countries met in Beijing and agreed to restore diplomatic relations.
1) Russia and Ukraine
French President Macron is visiting China for a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. Prior to that, he discussed with President Biden on the phone, and agreed to ask for mediation by China.
