Hideo Takahashi's Poems #12
1. An important thing I learned
Students should emulate their teachers
In everything they do.
However, Goi Sensei told us "Never imitate me"
And he strictly prohibited two specific things:
One of them was stopping-all-thoughts training
And the other was taking over humanity's karma.
Humanity's karma turned into phlegm inside Goi Sensei's body
And he kept expelling it without sleeping or resting
Throughout the last ten years of his life.
Regarding the stopping-all-thoughts
He warned that
If someone without a great mission
Imitated this training assigned to Goi Sensei
That person would become insane.
As for sacrificing the physical body
And taking over humanity's karmic thoughts
He said that anyone who would do so would die instantly
Instead, he recommended
We perform the simple practice of
Casting all our thoughts into the Prayer for World Peace
Regarding all things that occur to be vanishing phenomena
And calling on, "Goi Sensei."
I learned from Goi Sensei the importance of
Performing these simple advised practices
Without trying to be a special person
Without thinking about unnecessary things
And without doing unnecessary things.

2. Being simple and powerful
The spirit of self-sacrifice is precious
But we should not create grief for ourselves and our loved ones
By sacrificing ourselves.
We should not bind or torture ourselves and our loved ones
By taking great actions.
We should not be content only with our own purification
By doing lofty activities.
Have you thought how deep a sorrow
You may give to your parents
Through your self-satisfactory actions?
In the past, Jesus Christ sacrificed himself
To extinguish humanity's karmic thoughts.
In the modern age, Goi Sensei sacrificed himself
For the same cause.
So, there is no longer any necessity for each of us
To sacrifice ourselves.
All we need to do is
To direct our thoughts to Jesus Christ and Goi Sensei
To elevate ourselves by absorbing the Great Light for World Salvation
And to liberate all fears and worries of ourselves and our loved ones
By handing them over to the divine heart.
The age of self-sacrifice has ended.
Just by continuing to call on Goi Sensei
And forming the Divine Spark IN
We are doing the same noble action as that taken by Jesus Christ
We are manifesting the same effect as that achieved by Goi Sensei
The great saint who exerted his expansive love.
Self-sacrifice can uplift neither ourselves nor others.
Jesus Christ was crucified
And Goi Sensei offered himself
To enable us and our loved ones
To live brightly, vividly, and freely.
Let's not sacrifice ourselves.
Let's not give pain or sorrow to ourselves and our loved ones.
Instead, let's single-hardheartedly continue
Praying the Prayer for World Peace
Forming the Divine Spark IN
And reciting "Goi Sensei."
Doing so is the best way
To love ourselves and our loved ones
And to make ourselves and our loved ones come alive.
Praying "May peace prevail on Earth" does not give any sorrow to anyone.
Reciting "Goi Sensei" does not give any grief to anyone.
Performing the Divine Spark IN does not give any regret to anyone.
These are the most simple but powerful and sacred activities
To rejoice in ourselves and our loved ones
And to free ourselves and our loved ones.

3. Returning to the homeland
The day is near when I will return to my homeland
And meet Goi Sensei.
My soul and heart belong to
The brightly shining world of the Great Light for World Salvation.
Goi Sensei will pick me up
Put me in his bosom
And take me straight to my homeland
Goi Sensei is my parent.
I came to this earthly world
To work with Goi Sensei.
And here, I met my beloved wife Fujiko.
How much I am looking forward to meeting her again!
What a bliss it will be to work again
As the arms and legs of Goi Sensei!
What a joy it will be
To be reunited with my beloved Fujiko!
When the time comes
I will instantly ascend to Goi Sensei
My dearest parent whom I adore
And to Fujiko
My wife whom I love wholeheartedly.

4. Do not look away
Divine wisdom shines
In a simple principle.
Divine heart works
In the Great Law we abide by.
Don't do unnecessary things.
Instead, continue casting all your thoughts
Into the Prayer for World Peace
And the recitation "Goi Sensei."
You can uplift yourself by doing so.
Don't look away to the right or left.
All things are vanishing phenomena
That appear and disappear.
Simply immerse yourself in Goi Sensei
And continue praying "May peace prevail on Earth."
You will find both your light and hopes dwelling there.
You will also find humanity's light dwelling in there.

5. Fountains of light
God is eternal life.
It is eternal light and eternal nobility.
Let us earnestly call on Goi Sensei
Pray the Prayer for World Peace
Enter into the vibration of the prayer
And immerse ourselves in the divine eternity.
Originally, we human beings were born from the eternal divine heart.
We share with God the same divine nature and quality.
We need to draw forth
These divinely shared resources
—divine ability, divine love, divine harmony, divine light—
By praying for peace and plunging into Goi Sensei.
We need to revive
Our hidden inner divine treasures.
Doing so rejoices the divine heart
And enables us to shine forth our divine sanctity
From within us.
We should steadfastly immerse ourselves in the divine heart
And absorb the divine light.
Doing so is the action
That brings about peace to humanity and total harmony of the earth
That naturally makes peaceful vibrations pour out from within us
And that turns us into fountains of peace and divine light.
