1) Conference of Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty)
Conference of Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons will be held in Vienna from June 21 to 23. This treaty was adopted in July 7, 2017, and took effect in January, 22, 2021, but Japan has not yet ratified it. Prime Minister Kishida whose voting district is Hiroshima, expressed his will to attend this conference as an observer, but cancelled it later in consideration of the will of America.
2) Torrential rain in Bangladesh and India
Torrential rain is continuing in Bangladesh and India killing 59 and 34 people respectively by June 18.
3) Russia & Ukraine
The U.K. Defense Ministry issued a statement that the Ukrainian forces are in difficult condition due to increasing deserters among soldiers. It indicates that the same thing is happening among Russian soldiers as well.
