1) East Asia
The conditions in East Asia are getting increasingly tense.
- North Korea has launched 17 missiles this year. It is thought to be able to do nuclear experiment anytime soon, and is also developing even more powerful weapons than ordinary missile and nuclear bombs.
- To counter North Korea, South Korea has launched a total of 8 missiles. It also performed U.S.―South Korean demonstration flights of fighter jets.
- As the U.S.―China relations aggravates over Taiwan, the Chinese Defense Minister announced on June 12 that China would steadfastly fight if a foreign power intends to separate Taiwan from China.
- In this circumstance, Japanese Prime Minister Kishida announced a new defense plan on June 10 that would provide India and other coastal countries of the Pacific Ocean with security facility amounting to 2 billion yen in the coming 3 years. The Japanese government decided to double the yearly defense budget for this year.
1) Russia & Ukraine
It seems Russia is going to put under control the entire eastern provinces of Ukraine. In parts of these places, Russian citizenship is beginning to be given to the residents.
